Privacy Policy

How we protect
your information.

Cross-border legal counsel for NRIs, businesses & families.

Kavao Law treats every enquiry and every piece of personal information with care. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy applies to www.kavaolaw.com and to the services offered through the site. By using this website, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, and that you consent to the information collection and use practices described in this policy.

Your use of kavaolaw.com is governed by this Privacy Policy, the disclaimer published on this site, and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website.

A. Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our Contact form, our Send Legal Query form, or our Book Appointment form, we collect the information you voluntarily provide. This typically includes your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country of residence, and a description of your legal matter.

We may also collect limited technical information automatically — including your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit — for the purposes of site security, spam prevention, and understanding how the website is used.

B. How we use your information

Your information is used to respond to your enquiry, to assess whether we can assist with your matter, and to communicate with you about the engagement if we proceed. We may also use the information to send you a written confirmation of your enquiry reference number and the expected next steps.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising purposes. We do not share it with third parties without your permission, except in the following limited circumstances:

  • To protect ourselves from liability.
  • To respond to a legal process or comply with an applicable law.
  • To engage a trusted associate counsel or professional partner whose involvement is necessary to assist with your matter — and only after we have confirmed we can act for you.

C. Enquiries and confidentiality

All enquiries submitted through this website are treated as confidential. Your personal information — including your email address, telephone number, and the details of your matter — is not visible to any other user of this website. It is accessible only to the Kavao Law team, and only for the purposes of reviewing and responding to your enquiry.

Until we have confirmed in writing that we can act for you, and until a formal engagement has been established, no lawyer–client relationship arises from sending an enquiry. We therefore recommend that you do not send original documents, passports, or confidential case files with your initial enquiry.

D. Cookies

This website may use cookies to enhance your experience — for example, to remember your preferences and to keep the site functioning smoothly. Cookies used on this website are not used to identify you personally, except where you voluntarily log in to a password-protected area and choose to enable cookie-based identification.

You can disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may cause some functionality to become unavailable. Please consult your browser's help documentation for instructions.

E. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you submit. Enquiry data is stored securely and access is limited to those who need it. Email communications are delivered over encrypted SMTP connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

F. Opting out

If at any time you no longer wish to receive communications from us — for example, if you have asked us to remove your details from our records — please write to KavaoLaw@Gmail.com with your enquiry reference number (where available), and we will remove your information from our system.

G. Third-party services

We may use trusted third-party services — such as email delivery providers — to operate this website and to send you replies. These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations and are not authorised to use your information for any purpose other than delivering the services we request.

If we ever link to third-party websites (for example, statutory legal aid authorities or government portals), those websites operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.

H. Children

This website is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will remove it.

I. Modifications to this policy

Kavao Law may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of this website after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We therefore encourage you to review this page periodically.
